They say children are colorblind. Well, turns out they're deaf, too.

Cast: J., The Girl, and Tobias (our British Friend)
Location: The official workplace of both J. and Tobias
Time: Approximately 4:30pm, today.

J. has The Girl at the office after taking her to a doctor’s appointment due to an earache, which is fine now, thank you very much for asking.

Tobias, whom The Girl has known for years, leans into J’s office and says in his teddibly teddibly British way

“Well! I’m off for the day! Cheers!” And proceeds down the hallway.

The Girl leans conspiratorially towards her dad and asks:

“Whose the new guy?”

“Which new guy”, J. answers.

“The guy with the accent who looks like Tobias?”

“Honey, that was Tobias...”

Pause

(incredulously) “Tobias has an accent?”

She cannot honestly not believe she’s never noticed before.
