- I signed up for One Match. It's Canadian Blood Service's Stem Cell and Bone Marrow donation delivery program. Pretty much what happens is you log onto OneMatch.ca, fill out a brief questionnaire, take a quick online test (FYI? I got 100% on mine), then they call you. After confirming you are indeed interested, they send you out cotton swabs in the mail. Swab 4 different parts of your mouth for 20 - 30 seconds. Then you mail your samples back to them. I sent mine away this morning. So should you.
- This weekend, I am getting my very first sister-in-law. I cannot tell you how stinkin' excited I am about this. My gorgeous J. and I are Emceeing the reception, The Boy is an Usher, and the Girl is flowergirl/ring bearer. Terribly exciting.
- I was contacted two weeks ago from a gentleman at a company I had applied to over 2 years ago. He was wondering, would I be interested in the position? It's come open. Sure, I said. I was incredibly flattered that he remembered me from two years ago and invited me to compete. Again. Crossing fingers.
- I have a client coming in this afternoon who I knew 15 years ago. She's the sister of a teenage friend of mine. Can't wait to see her.
- The Girl brought home a Magazine Fundraiser last night. Not wanting her school to go bankrupt, I subscribed to 6 magazines. One of them? Shambala Sun. A guide for peaceful living according to Buddist teachings. I need all the help I can get.
Aaaand my phone rings....
Later.
